January 2016 Newsletter and Star Students

Dear Clients and Family
We hope everyone is having a great holiday season filled with family and friends. Hopefully everyone is able to do some resting and recharge for 2016.
January is brain teaser month at Niagara Learning Academy. This means that during each tutoring session, our younger clients will take part in some sort of brain teaser game. It should be a fun month!

Starting in January, Niagara Learning Academy will be starting a few new exciting programs.
 
IELTS Preparation Courses We will be starting to run evening courses on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. These classes will run 12 weeks consecutively. New clients must start on the first session. You will be required to take an English Proficiency Test before registering for the classes and this will determine if you will be in the 8 or 12 week program. If you pass the English Proficiency Test, you are able to skip through the first month. The course will focus on all aspects of the IELTS; reading, writing, listening and speaking. You will take part in many sample tests and exercises to help prepare you for the test.  In addition, we will also be offering registration services for individuals who have a hard time registering for the IELTS.

FREE English Class (for children/adolescents) We are excited to announce that starting in January, we will be offering a FREE one hour English Class to any clients who are currently participating in private tutoring. This class will run on Mondays from 6:00-7:00pm. Any children who are not currently taking private tutoring lessons can attend the classes for $3.00 a session.
MUST register ahead of time to make sure space is available!

Linda – Linda has been working at Niagara Learning Academy at improving her writing and speaking skills. She has been working very hard at improving her writing and has drastically improved. She is now writing very complex sentences with ease! Keep up the good work Linda!
 
Marla – Marla has been working closely with her tutor to improve her math skills and she is doing wonderfully! In recent weeks she has become much more confident in her mathematical abilities and has even started memorizing her multiplication tables! Keep up the great work Marla!
 
Ted – Ted has been attending Niagara Learning Academy to improve his English language skills. Ted has shown an improvement in reading and writing and is much more confident in speaking. He always completes his homework! Way to go Ted!
